AstraZeneca and its partner in the US, Sanofi-Aventis, are set to sell the anti-psychotic Seroquel in France and in the US in the coming weeks.
The pharmaceutical giant, which makes Seroquel for the treatment of schizophrenia, is also said to be in talks with the French government to buy it from the US.
In a joint statement, Sanofi said it had reached a deal to buy the US-based company for $3.75 billion.
